“The Pod” Dolphin Activity Trunk

“The Pod” contains 13 dolphin-based lessons, that are aligned with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills), along with materials and background information to execute the lessons.  Teachers may check out the trunk for three weeks at a time. The lessons are suitable for grades 5-12, are organized in order of complexity, and include modification/expansions for upper-level students.  The curriculum is focused on dolphin biology and conservation but aims to place dolphins within the context of their ecosystem with lessons on “Food Webs” and “Indicator Species”.
